Best tour in Lyon – September 14, 2024

We had an incredible afternoon with our guide Romain.

He was incredibly knowledgeable and presented the information in a relatable entertaining and digestible manner. We got a great balance of the history and modern context. Besides touring the Basilica and Roman ruins we were shown the old Lyon streets secret passage ways churches and other points of interest. We concluded our afternoon with an amazing lunch he recommended.

Thanks so much Romain! It was an informative and memorable day we will cherish long after we leave Lyon.

Great Tour for our Family – September 1, 2025

We had a wonderful tour of Vieux Lyon and Fourviere with Romain. He was a perfect guide for our small group of six people—friendly and knowledgeable about the local history, arhitectură, food, and restaurants.
Romain picked up our group at our Airbnb in Presqu’ile and we walked over to the Old City, exploring the fascinating architecture and traboules, took the funicular up to the basilica and Roman ruins, and then walked back down to the Old City.
Throughout the tour Romain was happy to answer all of our questions and take us to the places that we wished to go.
We had a great day with him as our guide.
Highly recommended.

A Wonderful Experience – September 13, 2025

Romain was excellent!
On time spoke excellent English was professional and personable. He has a remarkable store of historical and cultural knowledge about the Basilica the Celts the local and regional Roman presence the founding of Lyon the Roman Theatre and Odeon the silk trade in Lyon and more!

My wife and I booked a private tour due to mobility issues. Romain was considerate thereof in his pace and routing.
One of our best ever tour guides.

Fantastic.

We had a really good guide who showed us around the area and was able to answer all our questions. Both questions related to the tour itself and also more recent information about Lyon.

Not to be missed when in Lyon – 20 septembrie, 2026

A Guided tour of Lyon took us up to Fourviere Hill to the White Basilica a stunning experience exploring the Basilica.
The many Mosaics dawning the walls well worth visiting.
